I was drinking lots of carrot juice and was under the impression that the yellowing of my skin is from to much beta carotene. I stop over a week ago and I am still yellowish.I was told it takes a week for the skin discoloration from to much carrots to go away. I had 2 blood test done and everything came back normal. Was I miss informed about how long it takes to go away or could there be something seriously wrong with me that blood test would not reveal?

OK so, im 18 years old and i have absolutely no care for my skin whatsoever.
it makes me sad because i am a woman and i need to take care of my skin and be like other normal women.
since i turned my back on my skin and nourishing it, it has been a major disclaimer for me because it has given me age spots, stretch marks (even though im underweight), skin discoloration, etc.
I know its alot but that’s because i never rub lotion on my skin, i never done any facials, i have never tried any masks, the only thing i do is take a shower.
so my question is how can i fix that, and how can i prevent premature wrinkles and aging because i know if i keep on this path, it will effect me later.
what lotions do i use, i have no experience at all.
what sorts of stuff do i do to my face and hands to keep signs of aging away.
what can i do in the shower? perhaps exfoliate? but how? i dont know anything sorry.
oh if it helps i dont have oily skin, i have dry skin.

Its all about skin(dark and light)?

I know its not just me. But many people seem to be repulsed or not able to accept me being dark skinned. I live in a predominantly mixed neighborhood and it has began to affect my self esteem in many ways. There are not many things a teenager can do (Im 13) to change their skin color. Bleaching my skin hurts because its so sensitive and make up just makes me look trashy. My doctor told me its fine to use bleaching products on my neck because it has skin discoloration and doesnt match the rest of my body. Sometimes i feel like im half a person. People constantly tell me "youre pretty to be dark" and my ex boyfriend even told me "look at your scalp, see? you were meant to be light skinned" Ive also heard "if you go outside at night i bet nobody would see you". I dont know what to do. My mother is light skinned but mostly because my family has native american roots. My grandmother an grandfathers from both sides of my family are dark skinned. My friends even joke about my skin and they are not light skinned either, im just the darkest. My skin shade is the third from the bottom. Any advice?

What is the best skin care product for combination to dry skin with some redness?

My skin started to get dry and red. I do get oily skin on my t-zone. I have used proactiv before but I stopped because it was too strong. Then I used origins, but it didn’t make my skin clearer. Now, I’m using clinique, but my skin is still dry and red. Help please. What should I try?

I am actually african but i have brown skin. Since its summer i’ve been going out a lot. I got darker but also there are some white spots on my face. When you look at me it looks like i didnt get an even tan bc im lighter in some places than the other.
What can i do to fix this? Is this normal?

Brownish skin discoloration?

I’m a teenage athlete in Alabama (very active and very humid).
I’ve had these brownish looking spots on my upper stomach for a while, it looked like I had spots that tanned while the rest of my skin stayed pale. Recently it started spreading to my chest and below my armpits also.
I’m worried it may be Tenia Versicolor.
What can I do to try and treat it?
What else might it be?
Should I go to a doctor about this?
If so, what kind? Would a normal doctor be fine?

i’m 22, and i finished my period about a week ago. so i doubt it’s hormones.
as for my skin background;
i never had acne on my face, even going through puberty. the most i ever had was one or two pimples, and the occasional cluster of blackheads on my nose.
however, i had really bad acne (keratosis pilaris) on the backs of my arms.
and this breakout on my face looks an awful lot like the keratosis pilaris.
i do have dry skin, so i will sometimes peel or flake. and right by my hairline in front of my ears i’ll get the tiniest of bumps, but they are not red, or even noticeable…
but for the past few days i’ve had blotches of tiny little pink bumps. they don’t itch or burn or hurt in anyway- unless i pick at them, like i just did, thinking i could pop them like pimples… MY MISTAKE!
it’s too bumpy, too speckled and not quite pink enough to be rosacea (in my opinion)
my mom says it looks like an allergic reaction to something, but i haven’t eaten, or used any products out of the ordinary. no new foods, no new makeup, no new soaps, detergents, shampoos, nothing.
it’s only on my cheeks and my jawline.
there are no bumps on my nose, neck or forehead.
i washed my face with hypoallergenic soap, and broke open a vitamin e capsule, and have the goop sitting on my face right now.
any ideas as to what this could be?

How do you fix light skin discoloration?

There are patches of skin on the inner joint area of my arms that are significantly lighter than the rest of my arms. This ‘condition’ appeared around two weeks ago, at first I thought it would fade. I’m not sure what the cause is, the only one I can think of is bleaching from medication. I need an efficient way to take care of my arms. The look of it isn’t too ‘flattering’. Any ideas? Please include sources if possible.

OMG, SO MY ARMS AND LEGS HAVE BLOCHES AND SKIN DISCOLORATION ALL OVER. THEY USUALLY GO AWAY BUT NOW THEIR JUST ON MY SKIN..lol let me calm down. My skin has bloches all over and i know its probably caused by the medication i was using for the eczema, however the eczema is not their anymore…but it will come back when ever it wants to..but as of now everything is under control. my question is how do i get rid of the marks/bloches/skin discoloration on my body that use to have the eczema? im tired of putting makeup all over my body .. anytime i go to a wedding, reception WHEREEVER…when u have to show skin. what could i do for my skin? so the marks can go away. i am currently drinking lots of water, taking vitimins regulary (specific, fish oil) and … im just embarassed of my skin. PLEEASE someone help

Skin care tips for blackheads?

I used to get quite a few pimples but they’ve gradually gone away as I’ve got older but my problem now is that I have a looot of blackheads on my t-zone area. I have very dry skin which is also oily in places and what I’m wondering is if anyone can tell me how to get rid of these blackheads and blocked pores? Also since I have them, does that still mean I’m suffering from a form of acne and will they go away soon with age? Thankyou!

What is this skin discoloration on my 14 month old's face?

My 14 month old daughter has skin discoloration on her face. We have brown skin and there are lighter spots on her face. I looked up Vitiligo, and it looks nothing like that. It’s definitely not as severe looking, but it does worry me. Does anyone know about this and what can be done for it? I’ll be taking her to the doctor on Monday, but it would still help to know what we may be dealing with earlier than that. Also, please share similar stories and what you have done to perhaps "cure" this. Thank you!!
